Why am I running for re-election?
In 2018 when I joined the school board, I understood what the job was. These past 8 years has only strengthened my commitment to ensuring our students continue to receive the best education possible. I recognized that the board can make a difference and it’s increased my commitment.
Why am I so committed to education in our community?
I am passionate about education because of my background as an English Language Learner. With Milpitas’ diverse community, I can understand and relate to the unique and challenges of our students and their family. I believe in the value of good education. I ask for your support and vote.
I’m currently serving as the MUSD Board Vice-President. My previous roles included being the President and Board Clerk of the MUSD since being elected in 2018. My community involvement includes being a Board Director and an Ambassador for the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce, and a Board Director and a Past President of the Milpitas Rotary Club.
My husband and I have three children-two are attending Milpitas HS and one is a Milpitas HS graduate attending UC Santa Cruz. Prior to joining the school board, I have held various positions on the PTA Board, School Site Council, and Community Board of Advisory Council (CBAC). I have also substituted in my children’s school for several years as I have my CBEST.
I have been a Milpitas resident since 2008. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Society from UC Santa Barbara. Outside of school involvement, I own and operate a successful Real Estate & Mortgage company in Milpitas. I bring my entrepreneur skills to help schools fundraise.
